Frequently asked questions
What can I do without buying Pro?
Take photos, use all three looks, adjust brightness and contrast, record video and short GIF loops at 12fps. Free videos can be up to 10 seconds long. You do not need to purchase Pro to start using the camera.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks extra capabilities, including 30fps for video and GIF, and videos up to 30 seconds. Check the App Store or the in-app purchase screen for the current price and regional availability.
Does Pro make GIFs 30 seconds long?
The 30-second video limit is separate from GIF recording. In the code reviewed for this website, GIF loops are 3 seconds long. The public store description groups video and GIF duration together; this website does not promise they share the same limit. Check the capture screen in your installed app version as well.
Can I turn existing photos into pixel art?
Not in the current app. Mini Camera processes live camera frames while you capture them. It does not provide a photo or video import workflow. The illustrative photographs on this website do not imply that importing images is an app feature.
Does it work on Android, iPad or Mac?
This website describes the iPhone camera app. No Android download is provided. The App Store may show compatibility with other Apple devices, but camera operation outside iPhone is not guaranteed here. Check the current App Store compatibility information.
Is it an exact Game Boy Camera recreation?
No. It is an independent camera inspired by low-resolution monochrome and dithering. It is not an emulator or a claim to reproduce the original hardware’s field of view and processing exactly. It uses its own 160×144, 10:9 image canvas. It is not an official Nintendo app.
Why can’t I see 0.5x or 2x?
Available lens options depend on the cameras fitted to your iPhone. Not every device offers every 0.5x, 1x and 2x option. Available settings can also differ between front and rear cameras.
Why isn’t a photo saving?
Check the app’s permission to add photos in iPhone Settings, and check available storage. If Mini Camera reports a save error, do not assume the capture reached the library; open the Photos app to verify it.
Where did the pictures in the in-app album go?
The in-app album is a current-session review and sharing list, not permanent storage for every capture. Photos, videos and GIFs that were saved successfully can be found in the iPhone Photos app.
Why is my video silent?
Video audio requires microphone permission. When audio is unavailable, the app offers to continue silently or open Settings. GIF files do not contain sound. Check the selected capture mode so you do not confuse a silent video with a GIF.
How do I restore Pro on another iPhone?
Sign in to the App Store with the Apple Account used for the purchase. Open the app menu and select Restore Purchases. Purchase verification needs a network connection. If restoration fails, check the purchase status and the account currently signed in.
Are camera images sent to a server?
The camera described here processes its images on the device, without requiring a camera account. The current App Store privacy label says Data Not Collected. This is not a claim that purchases or a sharing service you choose never use the network. Read the app privacy policy for details.

About the sample images
The cat and coffee images illustrate a 160×144, four-tone dithered look applied to licensed sample photographs. They are not iPhone captures or app screenshots. Color conversion and resizing are not identical to iOS Core Image, so check the actual app for its output. These images do not represent an image-import feature.

This website does not upload photographs or access your camera. Its shipped code includes no advertising or analytics SDK, external font request or cookie storage. Hosting providers may process delivery logs such as IP addresses under their operational policies. The App Store and other linked websites have their own policies.
